Option to add lemon or yellow at PTW ....

As I prepare this post for Tuesday 5th February, the snow is pouring down and the world outside has gone white!! Oh no, I thought we had seen the back of the white stuff last week - I hope it doesn't last too long.  The new challenge at Papertake Weekly is Anything Goes with the Option of Adding something lemon or yellow - there are some fabulous cards by the PTW design team - please try and find time to pop over and be inspired to let us see your card - you have a whole week to make one.

As you can see, I went all out with the lemon/yellow theme!!  I coloured the LOTV image in with Copics

and added yellow twill stripe ribbon, gold ric rac, white cotton lace, round sparkly button, natural button twine

Wild Orchid Crafts ivory small gardenia with ivory crysanth, ivory hip rosebuds and then Ribbon Girl lemon/ivory sparkly roses.  I also used the new white sprigs - perfect for adding as a filler in any flower arrangement on cards.  All available from here - see below for details

Happy Birthday Less is More ......

The Less is More challenge is celebrating it's 2nd birthday and I was amazed when they asked if I would like to be a guest designer!!  As you may know, I never know when to stop when I'm piling on bling, flowers, ribbon and lace, so I surprised myself when I turned out this (to me, very clean and simple) card based on their theme of 'cream and kraft'

There are some fabulous cards to inspire you over at the Less is More blog and I hope you will pop over there and be inspired to enter your own project into their challenge.

For this card I added walnut distress ink, a tiny bit of stardust stickles, a wooden button distressed with walnut ink and a piece of natural button twine. (Button, twine and stickles all from The Ribbon Girl)

There is almost a week left for you to get your project in so please pop over to the PTW blog to be inspired
