Love is like a butterfly .....

An ivory card with rather a lot of butterflies for todays Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge - we'd like to see your ivory projects.

I used some of my stash of Pion papers  and the sentiment is computer generated.  I inked all edges then added 'Amelia' ivory vintage style fine cotton lace, vintage ivory fluted edge sheer ribbon, ivory lace leaves, 4mm ivory flatback pearl trim, ivory roses, rosebuds, peach cherry blossom, ivory aster and a gorgeous golden diamante encrusted butterfly!

Christmas ..... in July?

The new challenge over at Papertake Weekly is 'anything goes' with the option of 'Christmas in July' so I chose to make my first Christmas card!  I used an image from the LOTV artpad 'Christmas Eve' with paper from their 'Frosty Christmas' 8 x 8 pad.  All edges were distressed with ink

I added some white 'Charlotte' vintage style lace, a couple of small pine cones, velvet finish holly leaves, red berries, (see the Christmas section on the Ribbon Girl website)  brown 30mm open roses and white lillies, and on the 15mm red satin ribbon, I added a bow of silver twine topped with a snowflake button with a small s/a pearl/rhinestone flower on top

Ribbon, flowers, twine, button, pinecones berries and lace are all from

I hope you will be able to pop over to PTW, there are some stunning cards from the design team and of course, a wonderful prize for you to win!
