My precious daughter .....

This is my DT card for the Ribbon Girl June Magnolia Only Challenge 'add a diecut' - I hope you will pop over and check out the fabulous projects by the design team and our guests Monique Lokhorst and Tracy Payne.  We look forward to seeing your entry and remember, there is a fabulous prize of a £10 voucher to spend at The Ribbon Girl and a stamp all the way from the home of Tilda and Edwin!!

I made this card for my daughter Andrea - it's not her birthday, it was just to say 'thank you' for being such a lovely daughter, I couldn't ask for a better one!  I stamped Tilda onto watercolour paper and coloured her with distress markers  - it's ages since I did any watercolouring and I really enjoyed it.   The papers, tag and sentiment are from the Pion 'My precious daughter' collection which I got from Dies to Die For and they are really, really pretty - love them.

I added  'Faye' ivory vintage style lace, cream satin ribbon, 30mm pink/pink wild roses, 10mm and 20mm pale pink roses, 6mm ivory flat back pearl string, 3mm ivory pearl s/a flatbacks and Stardust Stickles all from

Happy birthday .....

It's a free for all or sketch 91 at PTW this week - I chose to be inspired by sketch number 91.  My interpretation seems to be full of roses but it is a birthday card for a special birthday!

I used a LOTV artpad image with Maja papers then added WOC pink 20mm and 10mm open roses, tiny pink rosebuds, rose petal seam binding, pink pearls, a small square bronze frame painted with a white dabber and some gorgeous pink sequin scallop lace - last job was to add lots of Stardust Stickles on the image and the inked edges.

Ribbon, lace, frame, stickles all from The Ribbon Girl

I hope you will find time to pop over to PTW and be inspired by the fabulous cards the design team have made -oh and there is a great prize to be won too!

Vintage style birthday card ....

Andrea and I had a lovely morning down on Teeside at the crop, it was lovely to see Jean, Gail, Julie, Olivia and all the crafty girls again and have a bit of a chat and a bit of crafting - not to mention the naughty sausage roll and the even naughtier belgian bun we got at Greggs on the way!!   bang went the diet!!

I love to see what everyone does, all the girls were doing a different project, some sewing, some card making, or colouring or making scrapbooks or wall hangings!  I spent the morning trying to make different kinds of rolled paper flowers, I watched Fleur Pearson making them when I went down to the LOTV 10th birthday party and she made it look so easy - practice makes perfect!! so I'll keep trying

I got some Maja papers from Andrea at Christmas time and have just started using them -  they are excellent quality and lovely patterns.  I've had this Pion image for ages, sitting in my 'keeping for best' tin - thought I'd better start using some of them up before they become antiques!

The Ribbon Girl colour challenge for June is 'ivory/cream' and this is my DT card.   I must admit, I did a Dawny P and glued the front onto my card sideways  -  it had to be cut off and fixed to a new card base before the photograph was taken !!

I added ivory pearl rose ribbon, an ivory embroidered tulle butterfly, cream daisy, WOC ivory roses and white lily flowers, Melissa Francis pearl trinket pin, ivory teardrop pin, 4mm ivory pearl bead string, bridal white satin, 'Waterlily' ivory polyester lace, 9mm ivory pearl trim, 9mm eggshell ivory velvet ribbon all from The Ribbon Girl

close up of one of the new embroidered ivory tulle butterflies - very pretty!

I made a couple of loops with short pieces of ivory bead trim, taped the ends then glued them behind the flowers.

I hope you can join us for this colour challenge, fab prizes as usual from our friends at Lili of the Valley and The Ribbon Girl and the most wonderful projects by our super talented design team and guest designers

Sapphire anniversary card ....

My little sister Jackie celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary yesterday (which is Sapphire) and this is the card I made for her and her husband Ian - I used LOTV 'Beach Bliss' paper then added WOC ivory 30mm wild rose, blue beaded berries, a Maya Road crystal trinket pin, white pretty blossom, 10mm WOC open roses, 3mm aqua sparkle bead string, 3mm aqua gems, white satin ribbon, white pearl lace trim, white Phoebe guipure lace all from The Ribbon Girl

I wish I had noticed that the number 5 was ever so slightly wonky before I finished the card and the glue had dried :-(

The June Lovely Lili Challenge begins at 9am Sunday 8th June on the Ribbon Girl blog - we want to see girlie cards and the prizes are a stamp of your choice given by the lovely ladies at LOTV and a £10 voucher towards goods from The Ribbon Girl
