Cute as a button .....

The challenge at this weeks Papertake Weekly is 'cute as a button' and I've used an image from the LOTV Toddlers artpad with LOTV designer paper.

I added pale fuschia sheer ribbon, pale pink loopy trim, a pink polka dot button tied with ivory hemp twine and a white leaf pin from a wheel of pins.

My flower arrangement includes a pink/pink gardenia, pale pink cherry blossom, pink/white beaded stamen, pink starburst stamen and Ive also used two gorgeous ivory guipure lace leaves - so pretty!

I finished my card with Stardust Stickles and all paper edges were distressed with deep pink ink

I hope you will be able to join in the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you make and there is heaps of inspiration over on the PTW blog

see you soon, Mary x

For a new baby boy ....

My card for the Ribbon Girl 'Everything Goes with an Image' challenge - I have used a LOTV artpad image from the Toddlers set with LOTV Shabby Shack papers

The bib itself was cut on the silhouette and I covered the front and the inside with LOTV papers then inked the edges with hawaian blue ink.  I drew faux stitching on the edges and placed the 5mm pearls to resemble poppers.

I cut the image and mat on the sizzix machine and used foam pads to raise it up slightly, again, the edges were distressed with hawaian blue ink

I added  blue tiny pom pom, pale blue loopy trim, pale blue tiny ric rac, 20mm dusky blue open rose, pearls from Sea Charm 5mm Mixed Pearls all from www.ribbongirl.co.uk

I hope you will find the time to pop over to the Ribbon Girl blog to see the fabulous projects made by our talented design team - you can make anything you like AS LONG AS THERE IS AN IMAGE ON IT, it can be any image at all, preferably hand coloured by you, but any image is acceptable.

We look forward to seeing what you create!

To have and to hold ......

The challenge over at Papertake Weekly is
Sketch or Take Your Pick sponsored by Lili of the Valley.   I chose Sketch and made a wedding card for a friend based on Sketch #99

The image is from a LOTV Artpad 'True Love' matted onto LOTV 'Mr & Mrs' background papers.  I added white Wedding Bells lace (see below) and then using some 3mm sticky tape I added 6mm flat back pearl trim

I used a punch to make the corners a little different, then added some white 'Wedding Bells' vintage style fine cotton lace, a white flower from a pack of 'colour it yourself' white dahlias, with a bit of Stardust Stickles,  WOC 10 and 20mm pale pink open roses, tiny pink rosebuds all from www.ribbongirl.co.uk

I added some Stardust Stickles to the flower centres and the image and the sentiment was computer generated

I hope you will be able to pop over to Papertake Weekly to be inspired by the lovely creations by the design team and we look forward to seeing what you make!
