When I found out the challenge for this weeks Papertake Weekly was anything goes with the option of doing Christmas in July I thought why not, I followed a red and green traditional theme and dug out some Graphics 45 Christmas papers from last year and went for it! I added some of our new Christmas seam binding, white broderie anglaise lace slotted with 7mm scarlet berry satin ribbon. My flowers include 15mm red paper roses, ivory hip rosebuds, tiny red berries, a couple o frosted winter cones, some Kort & Godt ivory beaded berries and an ivory gardenia (I didn't have any Christmas Roses but these look the part don't they) and some red pearls from the 5mm self adhesive Christmas Mixture
Flowers, beaded berries, winter cones, bias binding, ribbon, lace and Stardust Stickles all from

I am writing this post on Monday evening after Andrea and I took Haggis down to the seaside for a walk. Firstly we walked around this old windmill in Whitburn near Sunderland
then we had a short walk in Whitburn country park, down to the sea, beautiful views over the fields
looks nice doesn't it, and there was no breeze and it was really warm, even at 8pm in the evening!
We had a quick stroll around Souter lighthouse (outside only) near Marsden at South Shields - we've been in it in the past, very interesting, if you ever get the chance you should go and have a look you won't be disappointed.
see you soon
