Pink and Girly birthday card .....

I  was asked to make a very pink and girly card for a friend's grandaughter.  Instead of an image, I die cut the numbers and added them to a simple oval plaque.  I used Rose Pink silky crush ribbon, pretty pink loopy trim, 22mm guipure lace on the top of the easel card 15mm daisy guipure lace on the bottom of the card.  I tied a sparkly button onto the middle of the ribbon bow with candy pink Divine Twine.  I made the sentiment in Photoshop to match the colour of the background paper

I used pink carnations, white and pink pretty blossoms, a white satin daisy with diamante centre, Kort & Godt cream chrysanthemum flowers, all from here.  To make the card extra sparkly I added a Zva clear crystal flourish and some 5mm clear gems

I made a box and decorated it with more flowers, ribbon and paper to co-ordinate with the card

Humphrey with a daisy ...........

Little Humphrey never loses his appeal, I think he's just so cute.  I coloured him with Copics and cut him out before adhering to this very pretty oval nestie.  I used natural grosgrain ribbon, cream zig zag lace, a ppearl button and some brown sugar bakers twine from here.  I was  delighted with my new corner die by Jolanda of Noor Design  it's so pretty I can see it getting lots of use and I'm looking forward to trying the other Joy Craft dies I bought last week!

I used a white daisy, Kort & Godt cream chrysanthemum and a white carnation, plus 5mm adhesive pearls to finish the card and the inside is decorated to co-ordinate with the front.  The litttle tag was cut with a punch and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

This is my DT card for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge which is 'shades of autumn' and I've used shades of brown to represent the autumn foliage - I hope you will pop over and have a look at the rest of the fabulous inspiration - you've got a whole week to join in the challenge

Lace, ribbon, pearls, button, twine and all flowers are from The Ribbon Girl

Lottie and friend ................

The September Colour Challenge over at the Ribbon Girl blog starts today and the prize is a £10 voucher generously provided by the lovely ladies at Lili of the Valley (where they have some fabulous new Christmas stamps and paper pads) and a Rose Cottage Kits Green Mini Makes Kit from The Ribbon Girl - just think what you could make with this!

For my card I used the adorable Lottie and her friend and coloured the image with Copics - no, your eyes are not playing tricks, Lottie isn't walking downhill, and I must admit I have cut the image out crookedly  and only realised after the photograph was taken with no time to do another card

Mulberry carnations, pink baby's breath, pink cherry blossom from Ribbon Girl, other flowers from WOC. Leaves from Martha Stewart punch, white rose pearl organza ribbon from here

Pink satin ribbon, 22mm white flat lace and diamante spacer from here

I hope you can pop over to the Ribbon Girl blog, the projects made by the mega-talented DT are just amazing

Such a cute little bear ...

I was intrigued by some projects Andrea was making where she used layer after layer to build up some beautiful and very special cards so I watched her then had a go myself.  I'm not a 'less is more' person and never know when to stop, and as you can see, I just kept adding things :) but was pleased with the effect and my first attempt at this kind of card.  I added a piece of lilac velvet lace and a piece of white pearl lace between the layers

The image is a mini masterpiece pre-printed image from LOTV with some Stardust Stickles.  The flowers are a white Kort & Godt beaded branch, chrysanthemum, a couple of rosebuds (woc) and some white mulberry carnations and a clear crystal stem.  The sentiment is Papertrey Ink on a little tag made from a new punch

I added a mock bow of 60mm lilac scrunched/pleated taffeta  which is one piece approx 75mm tied in the middle with purple button twine with a diamante star ribbon slide.  Here you can see the various layers all cut with nesties, each covered with  the new Nitwits paper from LOTV so four sets plus a stand on the reverse so the card stands up,  In the centre of the flower I added a 11mm diamante spacer with a flat back pearl in the centre

My last adornment (as if I needed more !!) was a silver butterfly which was dabbed with Ranger white paint dabber - when the paint was dry I rubbed some off with my thumb so the silver showed through.  I also added Liking Lilac self adhesive pearls, and some Lilac Liquid Pearls dotted around the edge of the biggest layer.

This weeks challenge at Papertake Weekly is 'things that make you go aaw ....' and this little bear certainly does - please pop over and take a look at the gorgeous cards by the design team and you have a whole week to get your project in - good luck.
I will enter this card into Wild Orchid 'layer it up' challenge

close up of the diamante buckle slide

The image is from a Lili of the Valley die cut sheet -  so useful when time is short and a close up of the flowers arrangement - the tiny tag was cut with Papertrey Ink die and the leaves made with Martha Stewart punches

Pretty pearls ........

The September Card Challenge over at The Ribbon Girl blog is to 'add pearls' well, as I just love bling, pearls and embellishments I had no problem smothering my Tilda card with them!!  I chose pearl colour paper, ivory pearl rose organza ribbon, ivory scrunched pleated organza, cream cluny lace, cream 15mm satin ribbon plus a silver heart charm, a 13mm diamante spacer with a pearl flat back in the centre - all ribbons and embellishments are from The Ribbon Girl

My flower arrangement includes a couple of ivory babies breath flowers, white carnation, Kort & Godt cream chrysanthemum flower, white pretty blossom flowers plus ivory pearl pins  all from here - the charm is tied on with natural button twine and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink stamped onto cream card.
