Have a wizard day ........

Its sketch week at Papertake Weekly - you can make a card based on Sketch 75 as I did or you can choose another from the special Sketch Section on the papertake Weekly blog.   I used a LOTV mini masterpiece diecut, saddlestitch ribbon, a gold hat pin and a wizard hat charm (see below for more info) and no flowers, glitter, pearls or bling!! wow, sometimes I amaze myself lol

There is almost a week left for you to get your project in so please pop over to the PTW blog to be inspired

I'm delighted to tell you that The Ribbon Girl has started a brand new Magnolia Only Challenge and today is our very first challenge - 'use ribbon or lace' - not hard when you're making a Magnolia card is it? and
there is a great prize for the winner consisting of a £10 voucher to spend in the Ribbon Girl Online Store plus a Magnolia Stamp 'Love is in the Air'

This is my card

I coloured the gorgeous 'Tilda with Ballet Shoes' with Copics.

I added a doohickey swirl and a nestie heart covered in Glamour Dust
Please see below for products used on this card
I really hope you will join in with this new Magnolia challenge which will take place on the last Sunday of every month - we have a fantastic Design Team and I  urge you to pop over to the Ribbon girl blog to admire their creations for this very first challenge!

Treasured times .......

The challenge at Lili's Little Fairies this week is 'anything goes' so long as you use a LOTV stamp or diecut and there is a host of inspiration by the rest of the design team so please do pop over and be inspired!

The background layers were cut with dies Andrea bought me as a Christmas gift - they are a lovely shape - all the edges were distressed with walnut ink.   I coloured my LOTV image with Copics and added stardust stickles, satin ribbon, lace, ivory hearts and a WOC 20mm ivory open rose (click on the thumbnail pictures for more information)
See you soon Mary G x

Tie up your loose ends ................

This weeks challenge at Papertake Weekly is 'tie up your loose ends .....' so I've added a lovely big bow of faux silk ribbon to my card (which is for my sister's birthday in February - I'm being organised for a change!)

I hope you will find the time to pop over to the PTW challenge blog and be inspired by the wonderful creations by the DT - you have a whole week to get your card in so please do join us!
Here are some photos, one of the tractor clearing our culdesac on Monday, one of the heaps of snow at the end of the street last night - I wonder how long that will be there for? and one of the back garden - too deep for Haggis, his legs are too short!

(I'm experimenting with the picture links to the products I've used on this card - fingers crossed it will work - thanks for your help Becky)
