A Birthday Card .................

My daughter's birthday is between Christmas and New Year, and I thought the Polkadoodles pre-coloured image of Winnie Bearing Gifts was perfect for her.  I used the pre-coloured image on the front of the card, but the black/white image on the inside with a personal message.     The silver star has been punched from the same sparkly silver card I used as a backing for the gogeous ice skate paper which is from the Winnie Winterland Big Kahuna Digital Download set   The tag is from the same set, and I added the message using my computer

This photo shows the inside of the card

I added some lace, ribbon, flowers, leaves, berries and a clear sparkly button tied with silver twine which were all from The Ribbon Girl who are currently having a 50% off closing down sale

Party time ........

There is a new challenge over at Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Challenge with a nice prize for the winner.  I hope you will find time to join us and if you pop over to the blog I'm sure you will be inspired.  The DT were tasked with creating something on the theme of 'Party Time' and I thought the image of Winnie on this card was just the ticket!

I made a birthday card using Winnie 'Birthday Balloon' image from Polkadoodles 'Winnie Celebrations 1 collection' on some pretty 'happy birthday'  co-ordinating paper from the same kit.
I added some 15mm pink ribbon, 25mm white daisy lace, an 18mm sparkly button tied with silver twine.  The flowers include 30mm wild rose in pale pink and blue, 20mm open roses in pale pink and blue, rose and daisy leaves and some tiny rosebuds from The Ribbon Girl who are now having a 50% off closing down sale

Thanks for visiting today, see you soon

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ............

A green and gold 'exploding box' today, its my DT project for the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Challenge.  It is an 'anything goes' challenge and while the DT were tasked with making something with the theme 'it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas'  you can be inspired by whatever you wish. I hope you will be able to join in, and there is some great inspiration over on the challenge blog!   I used paper from the 'Winnie Winterland' Paper Heaven 2' collection,  and images from the 'Baked with Love' Design Sheet Digital Craft Download Kit.    I used one of the tag images on the lid and added some text, then finished off the lid with some lace, ribbon, pearls, flowers, leaves and random sparkle ivory ribbon.

I cut the pieces for the actual exploding box from two colours of dark green card, then adhered squares of shiny gold mirri card before adding the cute images which were punched from one of the sheets I printed.  The centre of the box holds a small clear 2-part acrylic bauble which I filled with gold tinsel and a gold wrapped ferrero roche chocolate - a nice surprise to find when the lid is removed!  The bauble can be hung on the tree even when the chocolate has been eaten :-)
Here is a close up of one of the jolly images - there are so many of them to choose from and the Baked with Love set I used is very inexpensive, especially considering what you get.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and I really hope you will make the time to join us for this 'anything goes' challenge.

I will enter this project into the following challenges
see you soon,
