Pink birthday card ....

A pretty pink birthday card using papers from the Pion Design  Paris Flea Market collection PD5704F Pink Fabric 12x12 paper and an image from PD5711F  'Images' 12x12 sheet.

Lace Applique Ivory Fan

I added an ivory fan lace applique in the top left hand corner, pale pink 15mm satin ribbon and 50mm 'Alma' ivory vintage style fine cotton lace.

The flower arrangements include 30mm pale pink wild roses, pink/pink beaded berries and 10mm pale pink open roses plus a few mulberry paper rose leaves.  I die cut the butterfly and the sentiment is from a LOTV stamp.  All edges were distressed then inked with gathered twigs ink before finishing with Stardust Stickles

Decorated tissue box cover ....

Sorry for the poor photos - I have great difficulty photographing boxes :-(
I decorated a tissue box cover which I have had for at least a year, but at last I have done smething with it!  This is my DT piece for the Ribbon Girl 'Use any image' challenge.    I used the four small flower images from a sheet of Pion Design Caroli Linnaei Paper matted on to diecut cream cardstock.  The box itself was covered with a sheet of cream and white spot paper and all edges were distressed with gathered twigs.

Around the bottom I adhered some 10mm ivory flat back flower trim, then some 7mm pale pink satin ribbon.  Next to each flower image I added a pale pink cosmos daisy, a pink lily flower and a 20mm pale pink rose.

At the top of the box I adhered some 55mm 'Emma' ivory guipure lace topped with 10mm double row flat back pearl trim

I covered the top of the box with the pink section of the Caroli Linnaei paper then stuck on 4 ivory lace corners.  Around the aperture in the centre I glued more of the 10mm ivory flat back flower trim.

I finished off the top with 7mm pale pink satin tied into small bows and topped with a 20mm pale pink open rose,  The pearl trims and lace were adhered with 6mm double sided sticky tape

I hope you will all have time to pop over to the blog to see the fabulous makes the Design Team and our special guest Kim Piggott have come up with - you can enter any type of project just so long as there is at least one image on it

A night at the ballet ....

I had a lovely time at the ballet yesterday evening watching 'Romeo and Juliet', the costumes were amazing and the dancing and music was brilliant!  I made this 'ballet inspired' card to thank my lovely friend who asked me to go with her, we had a really nice time :-)    I used Pion papers  'Pink Fabric' from the Paris Flea Market collection - so pretty, didn't want to cut into it!!   I used three of the 4 quarters of the 12x12, one for each layer then cut out the tiny buterflies and also the little vintage postage just peeping through beneath my die cut butterfly.  The pale pink lace placed beneath the image is 'Prudence' it's so pretty!

Here is a close up of my Magnolia image, I stamped onto watercolour paper then used distress markers to colour her  As you will probably notice I put the little white spots on her cheeks after I had taken my main photo!

I used pale pink Twinkle ribbon topped with a 30mm pale pink wild rose

My flower arrangement includes a pale pink Ballerina Blossom, pink/pink two tone beaded berries, another pale pink rose and a pink cherry blossom flower - I also popped in a piece of Prudence lace

The ribbon is 38mm pale pink sugar sprinkles sheer ribbon - perfect for a baby girl!

The top flower arrangement includes a two tone pink daisy, a large two tone pink rosebud, 20mm pale pink open rose and a pink starburst stamen.  The leaves were cut from some green paper using my Martha Stewart punch.

Butterfly birthday card ..

A birthday card using Lemoncraft paper from a 6x6 Forget me Not pad, with an image and butterfly from the P0034 12x12 sheet.  All edges distressed with gathered twigs ink

A close up of the gorgeous butterfly and shaped image both nestling on 'Blanche' embroidered tulle lace, white shabby ruffled ribbon topped with 6mm flat back white pearls

For my flower arrangement I used large ivory rosebud, blue ballerina blossom, white hip rosebud, blue beaded berries, white beaded stamens, rose leaves and a blue flower from a bunch of forget me nots.    The sentiment was computer generated, I printed it on A4 paper, then placed the cut out image on top, secured with very low tack tape, printed it again so the words came out more or less in the right place - I'll keep practising!

Crafters don't forget that the March Card Challenge over on the blog will be open until Saturday 19th March at 9pm so you've got loads of time to make a card!

Pretty egg box ....

I made a cover for a small box of 4 Cadbury chocolate eggs using Pion Violet Field 12x12 paper and an image of violets from the Pion Caroli Linnaeu 12x12 paper.  The sentiment was computer generated, punched then mounted onto the reverse side of Violet Field paper.  I was lucky enough to be given some new dies for Mothers Day from my lovely daughter Andrea.  I used the Spellbinders Dragonfly on this project - love it, thanks Andrea    I edged the sides of the paper with 17mm Laila vintage style cotton lace and 6mm white flatback pearl trim.  I used 3mm self adhesive tape

I tucked in some white veiling amongst the flowers which included Kort and God purpleviolet rolled rose, lilac ballerina blossom, vintage purple 15mm paper roses, lilac two tone aster, 3mm Liberty 952 ribbon

This is the box of chocolate eggs after the decorative cover has been removed - delicious!

if I had a flower .....

There is a new challenge over at The Ribbon Girl blog and we'd like to see all of your cards in'this 'anything goes' challenge but we expect there will be quite a few Spring and Easter cards among them.  It's Mothers Day here in the UK today but as my Mam passed away more than 30 years ago, also my Mother in Law I made this card as I often think of them and they both liked roses.

I used some lovely Maja Vintage Autumn Papers and inked all the edges

Can you see the white tulle tucked around the flowers, it makes it look a little softer,

I made a small bow with 7mm  grape satin ribbon, and popped it on top of a bigger bow made with purple grape sheer ribbon, then added both ivory and lilac 30mm wild roses , lilac 20mm and 10mm open roses and some rose leaves with more white tulle inserted

I hope you can join in with the card challenge - there are 3 fabulous prizes for the three winners and they will all have their cards showcased when the announcement is made
