Beauty is in the little things

A greetings card embellished with an embroidered tulle butterfly, daisy, ballerina blossom, cosmos daisies, smooth berries, ivory wild rose, Oloroso seam binding and 'Iris' 15mm cream cotton lace, 6mm ivory flatback pearl trim and some daisy leaves.

Lilac birthday card in vintage style .......

A vintage style birthday card trimmed with 17mm 'Laila' white vintage style fine cotton lace, 15mm satin edge sheer ribbon, 5mm flower pearl trim, white guipure lace leaf, ivory white and lilac ballerina blossoms, lilac small beaded berries and a stem of tiny pearl flowers on silver stem.

Vintage style greetings card

I used my new X-Cut emboss/cut folder and an old Pion vintage image for this card.  I added 38mm ivory faux silk, 10mm ivory square pearl trim, white guipure lace leaves, pink large rosebud, white daisy, green daisy leaves and an ivory 30mm wild rose and some 3mm ivory s/a pearls to the centres of the cut-out flowers.  I think this would make a lovely frame for a photo.  This card is for sale in my Etsy Store

Lilac butterfly birthday card ................

Lilac card trimmed with white lace leaves, dark lilac 20mm paper roses, lilac/white two tone hip rosebuds and petite white beaded stamens.  The ribbon on the bottom right is 25mm lilac satin edge sheer, tied with silver twine.  I have added another dark lilac paper rose and a couple of small butterfly dangle beads to the ends of the silver twine. 

This photo shows the lovely butterflies which I've enhanced with 3mm ivory pearl s/a pearls.  

We currently have an 'anything goes' challenge over at The Ribbon Girl blog and there are some lovely prizes to be won

A greetings card with a lovely image from the digital Winnie Polkadoodles Celebrations 2 set with co-ordinating digital paper.

I added a pink daisy, pretty pink lily flower, blue/white beaded stamen, 65mm 'Louise' white guipure lace topped with some 6-row pearl trim (cut down to 4 rows).  The ribbon is 15mm dusky pink satin topped with a sparkly acrylic button tied on with silver twine.  The sentiment is from LOTV

I have made this card especially for The Ribbon Girl 'Anything Goes' Challenge and there are two lovely prizes, one from Nikky at  Polkadoodles and one from The Ribbon Girl  -  please pop over and be inspired by the other examples  -  we love to see what you have been making - and the challenge will run until 28th April so you've got lots of time to make something, and it doesn't have to be a card, it can be a card, tag, layout, bag, box - whatever you wish

First Holy Communion card .....

I embossed the background and added 38mm white Phoebe guipure lace, 10mm square white pearl trim, 25mm blue satin edge sheer ribbon topped with a 30mm pale pink wild rose, pale pink lily flowers, tiny pearl cluster stems, 3mm ab flatbacks and a pretty diamante cross .  The sentiment was computer generated

Card for a new baby girl ...

Baby card for a new baby girl.  I embossed the background paper and added  Jessica white guipure lace, and 38mm white organza ribbon.  The lace was topped with 10mm white double row pearl trim adhered with 6mm double sided sticky tape I tied the bow with silver twine and added two sparkly glass stars.  The flowers include a pink gardenia, pink hip rosebuds, pink lily flowers, green daisy leaves and two stems of tiny pearl flowers.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Pink birthday card .....

 

For this pink birthday card I embossed some pearlescent card then added 55mm Monique white guipure lace topped with 6mm white flatback pearls.  I made a bow with 50mm pale pink Twinkle ribbon and tied it with silver twine.  On the ends of the silver twine I added two small butterfly beads and tied knots.

The flowers are a large pink two tone rosebud, a pink lily flower and a 30mm pink/white wild rose

The pearlescent background paper was embossed and I added 'Veronique' ivory guipure lace, ivory 25mm satin edge sheer ribbon and 6mm ivory flatback pearl trim.

I added 30mm ivory wild rose, 20mm ivory cream paper roses a couple of sparkly star beads hanging on ivory hemp twine and finished the card with two 5mm ivory self adhesive pearls in the top right corner

Burgundy and pink birthday card

 

I used a Power Poppy image by Marcella Hawley which I coloured with Copic pens.  I added burgundy 20mm open rose, some autumn berries, white petite beaded stamens and burgundy red cherry blossoms.  The bow is 25mm burgundy satin ribbon

Fuschia birthday card ...

Birthday card using a digital image 'Molly' from Tiddly Inks which I coloured with Copic pens.  I added a fuschia pink 25mm open rose, 20mm pink paper rose, white spray, two tone pink large rosebud and a deep pink strawberry.  The ribbon is white 38mm Silky Crush topped with another of the 25mm fuschia roses and some fuschia shiny metallic twine.  Sentiment is by LOTV

Mothers Day card

Mothers Day card with an image by Marcella Hawley which I coloured with Copics.  I added 15mm lilac satin ribbon topped with a deep lilac 20mm paper rose, tied with silver twine.  I added two small heart beads on the ends of the silver twine and sprinkled a few sequins on the top right corner.  The ribbon, rose, beads, twine and sequins are from The Ribbon Girl
