Tilda with flowers

The new Magnolia Only Challenge for March is to 'add flowers' and it begins today over on The Ribbon Girls Blog.  Great prizes - you can win a £10 voucher for The Ribbon Girl Store and a stamp generously donated by Magnolia which will be sent directly to the winner from the home of Tilda and Edwin in Sweden!

I coloured Tilda with Copics and used papers from Pandura.  I added lace, 7mm hot pink satin ribbon, 5mm pearls and some stems from a white pearl and crystal branch.  I made a diecut doohicky swirl and tag and all edges were distressed with walnut ink.  I added stickles to Tilda's wings and a pearl to her head-dress and flower.

My flower arrangement consists of pink/pale pink beaded berries, white beaded twirl, WOC deep pink trellis rose and carnations, white cosmos, white lillies, pink and white hip rosebuds; white aster daisy and also  a Kort & Godt white chrysanth.

I used one of my lovely new Stempleglede Vintage Garden stamps which Andrea got me for my bithday last week - this one came all the way from Australia!  as they are difficult to get hold of.  The background paper is Tilda from Pandura all edges inked with walnut ink and stickles added, it's very good quality and lovely to work with.

I coloured with Copics and added Stardust Stickles to the flowers and the birds eye.  I made the flowers with small and medium Magnolia dies, distressed the edges with walnut ink then added more Stickles.

I used cream satinn ribbon, 20mm and 12mm cream cotton lace and Sugar and Spice self adhesive pearls, all from The Ribbon Girl

Add stitching .....

I really enjoyed making this Easter card as GDT for Lovely Hanglar - the challenge is to  'add stitching'.  I'm not the best at straight lines but it's not too bad - one I'd managed to get the needle threaded :-) which took me for ever.  I used Pandura Tilda papers, blue and white saddlestich ribbon, white cotton lace, pearls, white beaded sprig, Kort and Godt chrysanths, WOC tulips and asters and a large white daisy.

I took the centre out of the daisy and replaced it with a blue 15mm crystal and diamante embellishment.  The pin is from a pack of 5 pearl heart pins.

Ribbons, lace, pearls, pins, diamante and all flowers are from The Ribbon Girl.

I hope you will find time to visit Lovely Hanglar & Sweet Magnolia challenge blog - there are some wonderful creations by the design team.  Also, today sees the start of the Ribbon Girl March colour challenge which is to use green and white - again, fab prizes and wonderful work by the design team!
