This is my project for the Ribbon Girl April 'use any image' challenge - you can use any type of image, photograph, it can be stamped, cut from a sheet of paper etc. and it doesn't have to be a card, it can be anything, a bag, a tag, a box, 3-d project, anything at all - just so long as there is an image on it. I made a folded decorated corner 'get well soon card' using Maja 'Vintage Spring Basics' 6x6 papers All edges were distressed with gathered twigs ink and I used 'Lyra' white guipure lace to the top and bottom of the card adhered with 6mm double sided sticky tape. I added some 4mm white flat back pearl trim on over the lace at the top of the card, adhered with 3mm double sided sticky tape The sentiment was computer generated
I added 20mm vintage lilac open rose, lilac small beaded berries, lilac/white two tone hip rosebud, lilac/white aster, rose leaves and some mauve mist vintage style seam binding
The image was cut from one of the 6x6 sheets in the Spring Basics stack, which has 9 of these images on so they are very useful indeed and very economical!
The paper pack includes some tags to cut out so I made a tea-bag type tag and added a vintage lilac 20mm open rose and some mauve mist vintage style seam binding - the colours match perfectly
Flowers, lace, Maja papers, adhesive, pearl trim are all from The Ribbon Girl
I hope you will have time to pop over to the blog - the design team have made some wonderful projects to inspire you!! and of course, there are great prizes to be won!!
see you soon, Mary x
