A vintage style Christmas hanging decoration using Maja Design 'I Wish' 6x6 paper pad and all embellishments from The Ribbon Girl online store. I cut and scored pieces of cream card, folded and made into a circle wich I backed with 25mm ivory frilled lace. I added various sizes of card and patterned paper from the Maja pad, then lastly an intricate diecut topped with a santa clause image which I cut from a piece of the Maja paper. For the hanging ribbons I used 25mm faux hessian, 15mm cream satin, 25mm burgundy satin, 10mm red square check, 38mm gold glitter on ivory organza and some 'Florence' ivory cotton lace - everything used on the hanging is from the store
this close up shows the various layers
My flower arrangement consists of a 35mm burgundy rose, ivory 20mm paper roses, ivory hip rosebuds and miniature blossoms plus some ivory/green speckled autumn berries.
the poinsettias are diecut from 'I Wish' Maja pad, edges inked and stickled and a small s/a clear gem popped in the centre of each.
I really enjoyed making this hanging decoration which I will put in my hall as we approach Christmas.
thanks for looking, see you soon, Mary xx
