When I ordered some decoupage papers recently, the lady I bought them from sent me a paper napkin with a lovely Santa on it as a free gift. I covered this plain round hinged lid box with it, in various pieces, then added red faux silk ribbon, a 20mm red paper rose, a white paper rose and a white cosmos daisy plus a couple of leaves and some red double ended berries. Around the edge of the lid I adhered some 18mm white cotton zig zag lace and on the base of the box I added 25mm red satin ribbon topped with a round buckle slide, all from The Ribbon Girl
When I had finished deoupaging the top of the box I added Tim Holtz crackle glaze then rubbed in some brown ink |
This photo shoes the red satin ribbon with buckle slide and white cotton lace, I hoped it would look like Santas tummy and his white collar :-) |
Thanks for looking, see you soon,
Mary G x
