The challenge at Papertake Weekly is 'Baby it's cold outside .....' and there couldn't be a better choice because most of us here in the UK have snow and it's freezing cold! I made a birthday card for someone who celebrated their birthday in January. The image is a LOTV mini masterpiece and Nitwits backing paper.
I used our new set of square nesties - very ornate, but I love them because as well as the squares you also get the four little corners - perfect! I inked all edges with walnut distress ink and layered them up then finished with Stardust Stickles
I used LOTV Nitwits paper, 16mm white grosgrain ribbon with silver snowflakes, lilac ribbon with a silver metallic edge and pretty 22mm white guipure lace. I made a tag with a Magnolia doohickey die and added tiny stick on letters.
My flower arrangement includes Ribbon Girl purple/lilac beaded berries and a lilac beaded twirl plus Wild Orchid Crafts cosmos, carnation and 20mm open rose. I also popped in a piece of lilac babies breath and a sprig of opal crystal stem - well it is supposed to be a sparkly frosty project and I just love sparkle.
I hope you will all have time to pop over to PTW for inspiration and you have a whole week to get your card in!
See you soon, Mary G x
