Just married .....

A wedding card using Pion 'Vintage Wedding' 12x12 sheet which contains 4 images, two of which I've used on this card.

For my floral arrangement I used 30mm ivory wild roses, large ivory rosebuds, 10mm ivory open roses and a cream hip rosebud.  The gorgeous pearl leaves are new in the store and perfect for wedding cards!  The bow is made from 12mm ivory faux silk ribbon

At the top of the card I added 25mm Deborah ivory vintage style lace and 10mm ivory double row flatback pearl trim

thank you for visiting,
see you soon,

An altered box for a sweet treat .......

I had an empty box from a packet of delicious dutch stroop waffles and it was the perfect fit for one of the jars of raspberry jam which I have been making (and eating far too much of)

I turned the box inside out to hide the printing, lined the inside with plain white card and strengthened the bottom of the box with more white card.

I then covered the outside of the box with papers from the Maja 'Coffee in the Arbour' 6x 6 pad.  The image is die-cut from a sheet of images within the 6 x 6 pad.

I added 25mm Grape satin ribbon around the box and also white Lyra guipure lace, both adhered with 6mm double sided sticky tape.

I decorated the top of the box with a Scrapiniec chipboard shape and three 30mm pale pink wild roses.  The little bow is 7mm Grape satin and the sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you can join us in The Ribbon Girl 'use any image' challenge over on the blog - there are three smashing prizes to win and we really look forward to seeing what you make

Thanks for visiting my blog, see you soon

An altered jar ....

I was so inspired by altered bottles made by the very talented Chantal that I just had to have a go at altering a glass jar - would you believe this is an empty Heinz sandwich spread jar?   I painted it with a mixture of cream furniture paint and white acrylic and embedded small pieces of kitchen paper (separated into single layers) into the paint, then painted over the top to give it texture (Andrea's idea, not mine)

When that was dry I added narrow ivory cotton 'Donna' lace, pearls, Lemoncraft House of Roses paper, and the image was cut from another sheet of the same 12 x 12 paper.

Around the neck of the jar I added pink shabby ruffled ribbon with some 6mm flatback pearls adhered in the centre.   I added a 9mm pale pink spot organza ribbon bow to the lid and tucked behind the flowers to the left of the image.  I hung a bronze colour pot bellied bird cage charm on natural hemp twine and fastened it to the 3mm pale pink ribbon.

I glued flowers to the lid (pale pink Ballerina Blossom, pink open rose and a pink  cosmos daisy)

Birthday card in lilacs ...

A birthday card using papers from Maja Design 'Vintage Summer' 6x6 pad.  I die cut the white border with a Spellbinders die, the white swirls are cut with Magnolia dies

I added 17mm Laila white vintage style fine cotton lace topped with purple loopy trim - at the bottom of the card I have adhered 4mm flat back pearl trim

My flower arrangement includes lilac 30mm wild rose, 20mm ivory open rose, lilac/white hip rosebuds, purple heather sprig, lilac starburst stamens.  The purple loops are made with button twine.

I coloured this little Scrapienec butterfly with copics to tone in with the card

A Summer birthday card ...

Birthday card using  papers from Maja 'Vintage Summer' 6x6 pad.  I embossed one sheet and die-cut the edge of the other with my new Spellbinders curved border die - love it!  I added some Charlotte white vintage style lace at the top and then adhered 6mm white flat back pearl trim to the edge using 3mm double sided sticky tape

I made the flower using a Spellbinders rose die set, distressed, inked and added an 11mm ivory flat back pearl to the centre then made a bow with aqua silk ribbon and tucked it under the flower.  The leaves are die cut from Magnolia dies.

70th birthday card .....

I used papers from Craft & You 'Vintage Time' 6x6 paper pad - love this pad, so many gorgeous designs to choose from!   I distressed the edges of the paper then inked them before matting onto pale pink card.

The sentiment was computer generated to fit within the Scrapienic Park Avenue round frame which was also inked on the edges.  There is a piece from the Scrapienic Lace Doily Corner Set on the top right corner - great value as there are 6 pieces in each pack.

I added some beautiful 'Alma' 50mm ivory vintage style fine cotton lace topped with 12mm pale pink faux silk  -  the bow is made with the same ribbon in 38mm

My flower arrangement includes pink 35mm trellis rose, large pink two tone rosebud, white beaded stamens, 20mm pale pink open rose and some pink/white rosebuds.

The leaves are die cut from paper and the butterfly was punched - I inked the edges, used a wire stalk from the open rose for antenni and popped some White Opal Liquid Pearls on to make the body.

I gave all edges a bit of sparkle with Stardust Stickles and added some pearls to the bottom left corner
