An altered box for a sweet treat .......

I had an empty box from a packet of delicious dutch stroop waffles and it was the perfect fit for one of the jars of raspberry jam which I have been making (and eating far too much of)

I turned the box inside out to hide the printing, lined the inside with plain white card and strengthened the bottom of the box with more white card.

I then covered the outside of the box with papers from the Maja 'Coffee in the Arbour' 6x 6 pad.  The image is die-cut from a sheet of images within the 6 x 6 pad.

I added 25mm Grape satin ribbon around the box and also white Lyra guipure lace, both adhered with 6mm double sided sticky tape.

I decorated the top of the box with a Scrapiniec chipboard shape and three 30mm pale pink wild roses.  The little bow is 7mm Grape satin and the sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you can join us in The Ribbon Girl 'use any image' challenge over on the blog - there are three smashing prizes to win and we really look forward to seeing what you make

Thanks for visiting my blog, see you soon

What a fabulous altered box Mary, no one would ever guess that it originally held Stroopwafels. I really need to check thorough my grocery boxes now before recycling them in case I can upcycle them instead lol, so thank you for the inspiration :) xx

Like Linda, I am now wondering what boxes I have been throwing away that I could be upcycling instead! This is absolutely brilliant and such a pretty way to gift the jam, which looks delicious :-)
Big hugs, Kat xx
