Goodbye Summer - Hello Autumn ...............

Autumn card using papers from Maja Design 6x6 'Enjoying Outdoors' paper pack.  I used a piece of Scrapiniec Chipboard Mesh and also tucked a little piece behind the flowers.  The image is from an older LOTV artpad which I thought was perfect for this card.

I added 'Emma' 55mm ivory guipure lace and Berisford orange 15mm satin ribbon across the card.  My flower arrangements includes die cut leaves which have been distressed with ink,  orange frosted berries, burgundy 20mm roses, tiny burgundy rosebuds, brown 30mm wild roses, red/green shiny berries and a cute little red and white toadstool!

Lace, ribbon, berries, flowers, toadstool, papers, chipboards all from The Ribbon Girl

Fabric elephant ....

A cute elephant, 8inches tall made from left over pieces of fat quarters which have been in the drawer since Andrea made lots of rag dolls - the gussett underneath and the pads of the feet were particularly difficult to make, so my next make after a pink set for a baby annabell dolly, will be a teddy bear - watch this space!

Vintage card with a touch of sparkle ...

A Christmas card with lots of seasonal embellishments.

I scored an A4 piece of 400gm weight white card in the centre,  folded it, then trimmed the card to 14.5cm to 14.5cm

I cut a piece of green card 14cm x 14cm and a piece of  6x6 designer paper trimmed to 13.5cm x 13.5cm making sure I didnt take too much of the images at each edge (this one is from the Maja Design  'I Wish' 6x6 pack)

The image in the centre of the card was from the same paper pack.  I cut it out and cut a toning piece from the paper pack so as to leave a small border around the image.

I took each piece of paper/card except the base white card, and distressed it using a Tim Holtz distress tool - saves wear and tear on my thumb nail :-)  then inked all the edges using  Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs distress inks.

I glued the design paper on to the green card then added a piece of lace, leaving enough to adhere to the back of the green card.  I used a tape glue gun.

I glued the central image to the toning mount then adhered over the lace using little sticky pads.

For my flower arrangements, I always play around with them for ages to make sure I'm happy before I start gluing them on.  I use a hot glue gun for flowers etc.  I always cut off the wire stalks from behind the flowers/berries/leaves using an old pair of scissors

I made a bow with the lace and adhered it on top of some mulberry paper holly leaves then added flowers and a little cone.     At the top left of the image I added mulberry holly leaves and die cut paper leaves, frosted and oval seasonal berries, a rosebud, 20mm and 30mm roses and a pine cone

At the top right of the image I added a chipboard 'Merry Christmas'

When everything was adhered to the card I carefully went over the brown distressed edges with Stickles to give a nice sparkle

Vintage image on this card ...

I made this vintage style Christmas card using paper from the new Maja 'I Wish' 6x6 paper pack.  The pack contains two sheets of images and I chose to use Santa.    I distressed all edges and inked them, and finally gave them a coat of Stardust Stickles for a bit of sparkle.

The vintage style lace is 25mm ivory 'Deborah' and the ribbon is Vintage Sage Green Organza

I used pieces from Scrapiniec  Swirly Jolly Holly chipboard set and added large holly leaves (I cut the wired end off to make them just a little shorter), tiny red berries, red/green frosted berries, frosted cones, 30mm, and 20mm ivory roses.

This is my DT card for the 'October Use any Image'  challenge over on The Ribbon Girl blog - you can submit any type of project JUST AS LONG AS THERE IS AN IMAGE ON IT  - and the design team have made some lovely items to inspire you!

Deep pink and white outfit for Baby Annabell

Latest dress, hat and bloomers for an 18" Baby Annabel doll, I tried a bigger pattern this time, which I altered to fit this largest Annabell dolly - had lots of fun making it, learned a lot, especially patience and that my best friend is a seam ripper!

The dress is in poly/cotton, lined bodice on dress, lined bonnet with lace and 15mm Berisford double faced satin ribbon, sleeves and bloomers are elasticated and trimmed with white frilled polyester lace.  The bloomers have an elasticated waist.  The dress is trimmed with polyester lace in two widths, has a white section at the bottom of the skirt, lace around the neck and hook and loop fastening at the back so it opens completely, to make it easy for the small hands of little mums to dress their baby dolls

Elastic, white lace and ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl
