Turquoise Challenge

This is for the Daring Cardmakers challenge for December 'Turquoise'. in conjunction with flourish with a bling, I coloured the Magnolia image with copics then cut it out with nesties and matted onto turquoise card.  The background paper for the card is from Nitwits and to add more texture, I stickled around the hearts on the background and I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss white paper and a Martha Stewart edge punch to make some paper 'lace'.  A few self adhesive pearls from here were placed in the corner.  The card was finished off with more stickles and a twill stripe ribbon - both from Ribbon Girl

White and Cream Magnolia Card

I stamped the Magnolia image onto watercolour paper then painted with with distress ink, first time I've tried this technique and was really pleased with the result - was just like watercolour painting.  I cut the oval with a nestie then made a white watercolour scalloped background mount and painted the edge with the same distress ink. 

The background paper is from a Making Memories pack and I added white cotton lace and cut some swirls on the sizzix to which I added Stardust Stickles.  The flowers, which I coloured slightly with watered down distress ink are from Wild Orchid.  I added a couple of coppery/gold pins and a beautiful bowl made from Champagne Silky Crush ribbon, then added stickles to the stamped image.  The final touch was three adhesive pearls - I was so pleased with the end result and will be colouring more stamped images with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks.   Lace, Ribbon, Pins, Stickles all from here.  I'm entering this card into the Magnolia Week 83 challenge White plus One

Magnolia with Beads and Sparkle

This is my entry for the Just Magnolia challenge blog - a card featuring a Magnolia stamped image with the option of added beads. I coloured the image with copics to match the 25mm Jade satin ribbon and lilac shades to tone with the plain card and the Martha Stewart punched border.

I added lots of Stardust Stickles and also some stick on jade colour gems.  I adapted two vintage style white hat pina by adding other beads, a stick on jade gem and some glitter -  a very effective way of using up beads from stash while producing a couple of very pretty pins!

A Green and Sparkly Card

I made this green and sparkly card for this weeks Magnolia challenge blog
I stamped the image and coloured with copics then glittered it by the bucketful (Stickles eucalyptus and stardust).  I then carefully cut out the little green fairy. The papers are Cosmo Cricket and the green card from stash.  I finished the card with meadow green micro dot ribbon and leaf pins from here.  Extra stickles was applied to all edges to make the whole card sparkly.

A Pink Magnolia Card

This card is for the  Magnolia challenge blog  card challenge 'Think Pink' and also the  Friday Sketcher Challenge and absolutley everything on it is pink!  The various pink papers are Rose Garden  by Papermania, the image is Magnolia which I coloured with various pink copics, highlighted with fine black pen then glittered with stickles. 

The flowers and leaves are from my stash and the pink satin ribbon, the pink pins and the pink dewdrops are all from the Ribbon Girl

Green and Red Magnolia Fairy

I had great fun making this card which I am entering into the Caardvarks challenge for a stamped card with a stamped inside.  I coloured the stamped Magnolia fairy image with copics, highlighted with a fine black pen, then glittered with stickles before I cut it out as carefully as possible.  I used Making Memories Noel paper in burgundy and gold, then added burgundy and moss green satin ribbon on the diagonal. 

I stamped and coloured the holly leaves, cut them out then glued them in place, glittered with stickles and added these fabulous holly-berry-red dewdrops

The finishing touch was a golden sparkly star pin.  Ribbon, dewdrops and pin all from here

For the inside of the card I glued in another piece of Making Memories Noel paper, added a nestability shape which I cut in white card, added yet another stamped, coloured and glittered holly leaf and stamped a greeting from Waltzing Mouse Stamps.
