Birthday card for my sister

This is a birthday card for my little sisters' 60th birthday.  The background papers are from Clip Art Fairy and I coloured the Magnolia image with copics.  The inside of the card was also decorated.

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid, as are the small pearl hearts which I've used on each corner.  The leaves have been cut with my Martha Stewart Punch. The diamond swirl is from stash and the cream lace, peach sheer ruffle ribbon, Stardust Stickles and May Arts string/loop ribbon are all from Ribbon Girl.  I will enter this for the Wild Orchid Challenge 'anything goes' and The Pink Elephant Challenge ' Buttons, Ribbon, Lace'

Love ......

I distressed all edges with antique linen distressing ink and used an MFT die from Dies to Die For to make the doily from brown kraft card. The backing papers are from the Floral Fantasy digital range from Bearly Mine mounted onto brown kraft card. 

I coloured the image with copics, the gorgeous metal corners and pink roses are from Wild Orchid.  I punched leaves with my Martha Stewart leaf punch and branch punch and added some Stardust Stickles, pink satin ribbon, and a pink crown pin keeps the butterfly charm (from stash) in place.  NB:  Ribbon Girl will have a large selection of charms available in the next few days.  Stickles, Ribbon, Pin all from Ribbon Girl

Take it easy ........

I made this card using the Just Magnolia sketch by Mina and will enter it for the challenge.  The backing papers are from a Christmas pack, sorry I can't remember which one and plain green card from stash.  Copics were used to colour the cute little image who is taking a rest in the garden (you can tell she's in a garden because her stool is ever so slightly crooked  (ahem, my fault - I will try harder next time)

I punched leaves from the green backing card with my Martha Stewart leaf and branch punches - I love these little punches.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the green satin ribbon and white cotton lace is from the Ribbon Girl, as is the Stardust Stickles.

The gorgeous butterfly is from our stash, but I see it has lost one of the little gemstones - not to worry, I put plenty of stick on green gems around the scallop oval which I cut on the sizzix using a nestabilities die

Ribbon flower

This is my first attempt at making a ribbon flower - this one is approx 2 inches across so would make a nice hair ornament if I stitch a clip onto the back of it.  This is made with silky crush (ribbon girl is still waiting for more stock of 'champagne silky crush, but pink, blue, white and teal are all available from stock), gathered up and tightened, then I cut 4 'petals' from the same ribbon and stitched them to the back, added a few pearl strands then finished with some oloroso seam binding and a little cream button which I covered in Stickles Stardust.  I hope to make a few cards at the weekend and some more flowers small enough to add to my cards. A few of my favourite things

This card using 'a few of my favourite things' has that cute little LOTV bear carrying a gorgeous flower and a card.  My favourite things are ribbon, lace, flowers and sparkle AND little bears so this card has it all!

I coloured the image with copics and used plenty of Stardust stickles, especially on the flower

The background paper is called Lilac Eve with butterflies and flowers from the Clipart Fairy and it is a perfect match for the 32mm wide silk ribbon which ties into a beautiful soft bow.  I added a little sparkly butterfly from stash and some self adhesive pearls from here.    The flowers are from Wild Orchid and the silk ribbon, white cotton lace and stickles are from Ribbon Girl    I will enter this card into the LOTV challenge

Sparkly Lilac Fairy Card

Sorry for the poor photo - bad light, masses of snow (see post below)  I followed the sketch by Bev in this weeks LOTV Challenge.  I will also enter it into the Ribbon Girl lilac/pink/white colour challenge.

This card was made using a LOTV diecut image - the wings were trimmed so as to fit the oval nestie then it was matted onto a white scalloped background.  The tutu and the wings were highlighted with Stardust Stickles. The background papers (lilac eve) are digital downloads from Clipart Fairy.    I used a die from My Favourite Things to make the scalloped white strip under the 38mm wide white spotted organza ribbon.  To finish I added self adhesive gemstone swirls (from stash) plus three lilac tinged flowers and some sparkly silver leaves (as usual cut off from artificial foliage!)  I just love sparkle!!

Bear with gifts

A bright and cheerful Christmas card with a LOTV diecut image, on a red card background, on top of a cuttlebug embossed white paper.

I cut the flowers from red and green textured card in the sizzix using a poinsetta leaf die, curled the edges, added stickles stardust and a holly berry red dew drop.  The card was finished with red/green/gold striped grosgrain ribbon.  Stickles, Dew Drops and Ribbon all from here

Beautiful ballerina ...........

This card features a LOTV diecut of a cute little ballerina which I got at the NEC last Saturday.  I used plain card in various shades of mauve, lavender and purple which I added to a scalloped edge white card

I added sparkle in the form of Stickles Stardust Glitter Glue, a fuschia/white pencil striped ribbon and a lilac gem butterfly embellishment.  The final touch was lavender dew drops on each corner.  Ribbon, Stickles, Dew Drops all from here.  I will enter this into the LOTV challenge 73 and blog hop.

Sparkly Diecut Christmas Bauble Card

 For something completely different to a traditional red/green Christmas theme, this simple card features a diecut bauble cut from patterned paper to which I added lashings of Stardust Stickles glitter-glue.  The bauble was stuck onto another diecut shape (nestabilities) which I embossed with a cuttlebug mat then glittered with stickles. 

While the background paper of white snowflakes on a pink background was very pretty, I thought it could do with a bit more sparkle and I embellished it with blue stick on rhinestones  in the centre of each of the snowflakes.  To finish the card, I added 9mm wide pink and white spotted organza ribbon and some leaves from satin cut out holly ribbon. Christmas Card

A very jolly red, green and white Christmas Card featuring a Lili of the Valley die cut image, plain red card, embossed white card and Berisfords green and white pencil stripe ribbon. I have entered this in the Charisma Cardz Challenge No. 44

I added plenty of Stardust Stickles and a red heart pin with additional beads plus the sentiment 'With Love at Christmas' typed in word and mounted onto a scrap of the red card. Ribbon, Stickles and Pin are from here

Magnolia with Beads and Sparkle

This is my entry for the Just Magnolia challenge blog - a card featuring a Magnolia stamped image with the option of added beads. I coloured the image with copics to match the 25mm Jade satin ribbon and lilac shades to tone with the plain card and the Martha Stewart punched border.

I added lots of Stardust Stickles and also some stick on jade colour gems.  I adapted two vintage style white hat pina by adding other beads, a stick on jade gem and some glitter -  a very effective way of using up beads from stash while producing a couple of very pretty pins!

Where did you get that hat?

Oh isn't that hat just fabulous!  I cut the circle from a LOTV diecut image of a really cute little girl dressed to the nines for her afternoon tea party and matted it onto a scalloped circle (both nestabilities). I matted some very plain spotted cosmo cricket paper onto plain lavender card and stuck on a vertical 25mm wide mauve ribbon

I then added some paper flowers and very glittery leaves from an artificial Christmas spray, applied plenty of stickles Stardust to the image, the card and the flowers.

I found a couple of lilac colour daisy flowers and printed the sentiment from a new LOTV stamp I got at the NEC last Saturday, cut it out with a circle punch and again, added plenty of sticles. I stuck the circle onto the daisy flower and then used sticky pads to attach it to the card.  I then made a separate bow with the mauve ribbon and stuck it onto the vertical flat ribbon.  I am entering this card into the LOTV challenge for a 'one for the girls' card

Love is .................

I made this wall hanging for my lovely friends Joe and Sue - this particular passage from 1 Corinthians means a lot to us.  I cut chipboard to size and covered it with Sweet Shoppe Designs papers, then added the text which was matted onto co-ordinating paper.  The corners of the board were rounded and then I stuck patterned paper on to more board and cut out the letters of LOVE on the sizzix machine.  

I really went to town on the mulberry and artificial flowers, I curled some of the wires around my crochet hook and added some leaves and some pink 'diamond' sparkly stems. 

Such is my love of glitteriness, that I just had to add a bit of stickles stardust glitter glue.  Florists wire was bent to shape and made the actual hanging loop (holes were made with a cropadile) and I added pink paper to more board and cut out the hearts  which were also glittered with stickles and attached to more florist wire and attached to the main wall hanging.   I added various satin ribbons, loopy trim and openweave ribbons, all from here

A Pink Magnolia Card

This card is for the  Magnolia challenge blog  card challenge 'Think Pink' and also the  Friday Sketcher Challenge and absolutley everything on it is pink!  The various pink papers are Rose Garden  by Papermania, the image is Magnolia which I coloured with various pink copics, highlighted with fine black pen then glittered with stickles. 

The flowers and leaves are from my stash and the pink satin ribbon, the pink pins and the pink dewdrops are all from the Ribbon Girl
